Cheap Mig Welder & It's Surprisingly Good! BestArc MIG145 Multi Process Welder Review
In this review I take a look at the BestArc Mig 145 multi process welder. I was very surprised at the overall performance considering the size of this welder. In this video I mainly focus on flux cored welding and even attempt welding a piece of 1/4" plate steel. For the price of this welder, I really couldn't ask for any better performance. Click the links below for more information and to purchase it off Amazon. Thanks for watching and the continued support.

VEVOR 2"x72" BELT GRINDER MODIFICATION - I Highly Recommend Doing This
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.2 месяца назад
In this video I modify the Vevor belt grinder so it can run a more common sized 2"x72" abrasives belt. After a few attempts I cut a total of 4 inches off and while testing it out I was extremely surprised at the overall performance change from the old 2"x82" belt vs. the smaller 2"x72" belt. After making the modification and experiencing the changes I would highly recommend this modification. F...

After having a few quality issues that needed to be fixed, I was able to finally test it out and for the first time using a tool like this I can say that it is a little Intimidating. Even with the quality issues I had, this grinder is a phenomenal value and is definitely a contender in the market of belt grinders. For more information...

ArcCaptain ClearMax Welding Helmet - Is A Cheap Auto Darkening Welding Helmet Any Good?
I’ve got one that’s only a few years old and it’s only ran twice. Now it won’t start and run on fuel, but will run on propane. It’s getting fuel and oil is good. Could it be the fuel pump?
It's very possible... Depending on whether or not there was old fuel in the carburetor it may have gummed up the fuel bowl and may need to be cleaned along with the jet. Ethanol is a killer for small engines when left to sit for a while... Hopefully you get it straightened out...👍
Also one thing I noticed with mine it tends to run on the more richer side (more fuel) so just as part of my general maintenance, every time I change the oil I change the spark plug. Cheap insurance for the lige of the generator...
@@ChallengeTheBuild If it was gummed up it would still let it run on propane?
@Nw46784 Eh.... I don't think so... I don't know.... My gut says the carburetor does not flow the propane, I think something else does (like a regulator) but Im not 100% sure... Follow the propane fuel hose and see where it goes... Maybe it does.... I have still not run mine on propane yet...
Thanks for the video man. Mine got delivered yesterday. Stoked
Awesome! I promise you, the investment is totally worth it! Thanks for watching and commenting, happy 4th of July 🇺🇲💯🤝
Great job, thanks for you time and efforts.
Thanks for watching and commenting..👍 Be safe welding...👊💯
This make/model is the exact same as Alorair HD55s. Red flag 100% when you have two identical machines branded entirely separately..
🤷♂️ This one is still working great and I would recommend it..🤙
I just purchased on of these generators the 9500/12500 TF and it's bad ASS started on the first push of the button and for an open frame generator it is not that loud..... I LOVE IT...
AWESOME! Appreciate the feedback 🤝💯
surprisingly one question is not, why does it shut down even when it has fuel and plenty of oil??? just poof, nothing.
Unfortunately I do not have an answer for that.
is this an ad for sales or a fixit video???
I guess it's whatever you want it to be..🤷♂️
98$ propane in a day and a half...
Ouch...
They need address the issues you raised quickly and make it known. While I would be willing to buy one at this price point I would not do so unless they change this up to a 72” belt. I have bought things from Vevor and they are of decent quality. This however as it sits would require too much modification to be a value purchase for me.
Watch this video ruclips.net/video/0MgGDnaDTKI/видео.html it literally takes less than 10 minutes to make it a 72" belt grinder. Also the little bit of time and money it takes to fix the switch (IF it's still a problem) still makes this belt grinder a good investment. Others cost upwards of 2 grand to start. Or buy the variable speed model?🤷♂️🤙👍💯 Thanks for watching and commenting.
them ALCOAs 22.5s are my favorite style of rim.
The fan has a high/med/low the restance doesn't make it a the fan blow more it just runs better with back pressure created from the blockage you still have different actual settings.
great job and thank you for tricks of the trade. Take care!
Thanks for watching and commenting..🤙💯
If it says vevor its junk!!
Definitely not true anymore. Years ago I would say yes but just like Harbor Freight they have really invested in their product lines... There are still some things that I wouldn't buy but this is a solid buy...
I have a 5 prong on a 1996 S10, I touched the two bottom ones and it shorted out before watching this video. I tried what was giving 12 volts which was the bottom right and touching top left with no success. I'm going to try the bottom left to the top right.
Thanks for the info. Still not sure what the 2T/4T setting is for? I assume from the one mention of it in the video that it affects the trigger operation? The manual does not tell me. Nice review.
2T is simply pulling and holding the trigger while cutting. 4T is pull the trigger and release then make your cut, then pull trigger and release to stop the machine.
How does it Compare to Raptor Liner? I like that it’s Half the Price.
Considering the work was done two years ago... It is holding up really well. I would recommend it and I will definitely be using it again. One thing I will definitely recommend is use the epoxy black primer before the topcoat. The epoxy primer that Samurai sells is awesome in conjunction with the bed liner.... Also out of the 10-12 cans I have used one can was no good... So hopefully you won't get any bad cans... Also shake them alot...alot alot...
Great video! I installed these, but when I turn on my high beam it shuts off the low beam light. Any idea why this might be happening?
Check the instructions. I feel like you may have a plug backwards...🤷♂️. Check and recheck all connections. That's honestly the best advice I have. These lights can be pesky little buggers.
@@ChallengeTheBuild I was thinking that. Once the rain stops I’ll try to flip them. Thanks!

Thanks for the review. I bought the 650 ft/lbs. from Amazon, comes with 2 batteries and it's $40 off.
That is a good deal! 👍 Thanks for watching and the feedback.
Does the effort per hour justify the money is what im asking 2024 June prices Indiana
I know that if I had a few hundred compressors laying around I would cut the apart yes. The key is getting into a system that works and then once you get it figured out soeed will naturally follow. Once I found my rhythm I could do 4 - 6 an hour and even if prices are low I feel like it would be worth it. 🤷♂️. You could always run a test too. Cut and clean 10 units, track your time and then cash in everything from the 10 units and then run the numbers to determine if it is worth it or not for you...👍👍 Good luck be safe.
That would be something for you to decide... That is why I suggested running a test. Good luck and be safe.
I love you man i have a few hundred ive held on too i appreciate you my friend
This was the video that convinced me to try Arccaptain. I did not have the money for the AC/DC version but the DC version, yes. What can I say. Sometimes you get things right. Its a great little welder. Simple to use. I have an expensive Everlast Welder I purchased some time ago and am trying to sell it. I like the Arccaptain better. Where this would shine say if you do furniture like a coffee table or chair or night table. You do not need to save up for a Miller Dynasty 280 or even....gulp, an Everlast welder. Buy this. Use it. And if you like what it does then go AC/DC later on. Can't go wrong here. I should also add that I did purchase the new foot pedal separately off Amazon. For some applications I do not mind the trigger switch but wanted the flexibility of the pedal. I also noticed the Euro and Australian crowd have a button torch but I cannot locate one here in the North America or British Amazon sites.
This comment is AWESOME! I really appreciate the input and positive feedback! Thanks for adding to the content and conversation. Keep an eye out for the review on the ACDC machine, ArcCaptain hooked me up with the ACDC machine last week so I need to set some time aside a dive into it. Thanks again for the input! #ChallengeTheBuild
I bought these and love the look. I’m not a mechanic so how do I adjust the headlights. High beams pointing down and only light up 10 ft.
On the back side pf the light there should be 2 torx style bolts/screws they might even be external torx. One bolt adjusts up and down the other should be left to right...
I used a Harbor Freight air needle scaler to remove the old undercoating on my truck. I had a small Makita air compressor and the combo did not disappoint.
That is a very useful tool, good call on using it. It definitely would have saved me a lot of time. 👍
You did great and I thank you for the video.

In my opinion you will not find any better review channel. One word to sum up my reviews and this channel is Integrity, and if you look, I respond to 99% of my comments. Nothing to hide here...
@@ChallengeTheBuildLOL, “In my opinion, I am the best!!!” lol. Getting a $350-450 tool is getting paid. I’m a consummate tool review watcher. You are not the best….frankly not even close. Use that not as something to tear you down, but to improve on a mediocre content presentation.

Thanks for the video. I think a top 10 question would be; How do you drain the fuel for long term storage? I can't figure that out.
Appreciate the feedback, thanks... I myself haven't even looked into that due to me running it in the winter because of how I use it.
run it dry?
Just messaged you on instagram
I am thinking about doing same type of bag setup on my c65 pickup.
Do the 1965s run the long trailing arm style rear setup similar to the 70s? Or is it leaf springs? This specific setup is what the owner wanted/asked for... If I was to do another one I would definitely do a four link.. The way the bags were setup worked great and would do it the same again.... Just swap the leafs for a four link or even watts link and it would be premium...👍😎
Do you get different prices for the heavy and light iron
Yes, generally scrap yards will sort it... Because they too also get paid for heavy vs. light. .... But each yard is different...
I guess I should ask at the scrap yard I go too but I generally just see everyone dumping everything in a big pile. The only difference is when you have copper stainless steel. We go into a building to unload that material.
Sometimes you work and work to fab a bracket or piece to throw it away and start over. That happens when you think outside the box. Then the light comes on and it looks great. Keep at it . I love the channel.
I appreciate the support, thank you👍... I need to get back to uploading project content... Things have been very chaotic lately for me... Stay tuned..
Where are you locatec? Will you do mine?

What a great video! I am still learning and starting with flux, but you have talked me into 200 MIG when my skills improve. Thanks for the detail in explaining the setups and various test settings. Really helped me learn how to "tune" the welder to the project I am working on. Thanks for taking the time to do this, excellent resource!
My reviews are not for everyone as I follow my own drum beat when making these reviews😂, so I appreciate the positive feedback. Comments like this let me know I am doing it right. 👍
Love your reviews they're always insightful. I was wondering if you'd do a review on the Duratech 140amp mig welder? I've been looking at either the bestarc or that but hardly any reviews on the duratech mig/flux core machine.
I appreciate the feedback... Let me see what I can do... However I'm not making any promises...👍
@@ChallengeTheBuild thank you! And looking forward for more videos!
Do you need to touch the nozzle the entire time or do you tap and hover above
Touch the entire time.. That's why the tips are consumables... You can raise it up but will probably use consumables a lot faster rate...
@@ChallengeTheBuild awesome thank you so much for that advice I was holding it above
Good luck and be safe..🤙
Sure, cool.
Where did you get the grill?
Local junk yard..👍
Great job, looks clean! Sounds pretty sweet. Like the pops when you let it go :) I do prefer a dual setup like an H-Pipe after the mid mufflers but an X-pipe right after the cats.
Appreciate the feedback. Now that I drive it a little more often I think I may change out to a 50 series muffler.... Try and tone it down a little bit more...🤷♂️
My setup is too quiet I might replace my bullet mids by UPOWER resonators, more direct, not sure...
Loud pipes save lives! 😂😂
Anyone ever tried to get a foot pedal to work on the Mig200? Feel like it should work with the TIG
I am not sure but I can take a look.... The MIG200 is advertised as a lift tig so I am doubtful...
Review is different from "How To". Review tells us your experience as an owner, if the thing's still new then you have no quality review. Thanks anyway
Can't win them all. Appreciate the feedback. 👍
Another comment, what is the diameter of the drive wheel? Looks like it could be 8" or so? 8" diameter give over 7,000 SFPM and boy is that zipping along. No wonder it grinds so fast.
The drive wheel on the motor is approximately 8.75" +/- in diameter. Appreciate all the feedback, thank you.👍
I understand what you're saying about not needing a variable speed grinder. Single speed works just fine..... Yep, that's exactly what I said many times before I went to variable speed. Understand I'm using my grinder for knifemaking. For many things in knifemaking really need slow speed for the higher grits. Now watching the total video I see you're using the grinder for heavy grinder. That high speed is what you want for that type of grinding. Good video - well done
Appreciate the comments and watch. Thanks
That grinder looks like one of the best buys around, but why in the world didn't you go with the extra $100 for the variable speed? I'll bet with the small wheel attachment that speed will get the bears really hot. Just think, $1K for a variable speed 2X72 (with your mod) with 12" contact wheel, small wheel setup, and flat platen. What a deal!
If you have time watch the actual review video here ruclips.net/video/rcEQVPKVKSw/видео.html and most of your questions will probably be answered. Appreciate you watching and commenting. 👍
Have you had a chance to check out the stick welder function on this particular machine yet? Wondering what your thoughts on it are.
I haven't. I generally just mig or tig weld and very very rarely stick weld (basically never😂) but I am sure it works as advertised. I have reviewed a bunch of budget welders over the last year and all of them perform better then I expected because of how cheap you can buy them.... This TIG200 is awesome and love the HF TIG welding process and would feel confident in saying the stick welding process wouldn't disappoint. For a couple hundred bucks I don't think you could go wrong. Thanks for watching and commenting.
